Maloney Associates (MA) were commissioned to assist HSS Hire in the completion of a lighting specification and replacement project.

- MA designed lighting replacement strategies which were undertaken by HSS Hire to comply with industry lighting lux levels
- Taking into account the lighting replacement cost, the net benefit saving was £393 per month, increasing to £1,052 year 4 and 5
- The project was fully funded, ensuring no capital outlay was required
- The lighting refurbishments were suitable for 100% Enhance Capital Allowance relief, providing a benefit of £3,990
- Energy saving of 98,865 kWh
- Total annual savings of £12,626 p.a
- Annual carbon reduction of 53,644 kgCO2e
This resulted in HSS achieving compliance with industry lux standards, as well as delivered energy and cost savings.
